That is the psychological form in which we often experience it. But, like any other planet in astrology, Saturn points to a component of the essential geometry of existence as we live it and translate it humanly.

In Saturn’s case, it marks the point where we can weigh the reality of our reality: the place where what we feel, desire, imagine, or build must reveal its weight, its structure, its duration, and its consequences.

Saturn is not simply “what is heavy.” It is the mechanism through which we discover how much something weighs.

When Saturn is below the horizon, especially in houses 3, 4, and 5, this measurement does not take place on the public stage. It is not yet about reputation, vocation, recognition, or one’s place in the world. Here, Saturn works underground, at the very foundations of personal experience: thought, the inner home, and the capacity to create.

That is why, in these houses, the private sphere becomes pure engineering. Intimate life stops being a soft space where one simply rests from outer reality. It becomes a zone of construction, repair, and calculation. Something must be sustained from below before it can be shown above.

The individual’s psychological structure may then operate like an old steam locomotive: robust, heavy, noisy, slow to start, yet capable of moving forward with a certainty that does not depend on the enthusiasm of the moment. Saturn does not accelerate. Saturn generates traction.

What is rarely said about this planet is that, once the structure is standing, it does not need to be built again from scratch. Saturnian work bears fruit. What resists time remains because it continues to have a function in the present.

There is also a poorly kept secret about Saturn: wherever it is found, effort can become pleasure. Not the light pleasure of luck, nor the fleeting relief of something going well by accident, but a drier, deeper, more enduring satisfaction: that of having become the architects of our own reality.

And you thought: “they just don’t care.” Maybe that’s not it. Maybe their emotional timing is different.

People process emotions at three distinct speeds, and none is better or worse than the others.

Some initiate emotion quickly, act on it, and then move on to something else. They are like an engine that starts strong but doesn’t need to keep running.

Others hold onto an emotion for a long time, as if it were an internal principle. Changing their mood without a deep reason feels dishonest to them.

Others adjust their emotion according to the situation or conversation. They can feel something intensely now and, a little later, see it differently.

When two different ways coexist, there is no mistake. You just need to know that the other person isn’t feeling “wrong.” They feel differently. And that difference is managed with clear rules about when to speak, when to listen, and when to let things rest.

This is one of the topics that fascinates me most about astrology, as it allows us to understand subjective universes outside our own.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" Doesn’t need to update it. Its challenge: to distinguish between loyalty to a fact and rigidity. With cardinal: feels run over. With mutable: feels invalidated by perceived lightness.

Mutable Moon (in Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces):
Adapts emotion to context and dissolves it through understanding or distraction. Its challenge: not to confuse flexibility with avoidance. With fixed: learns patience. With cardinal: goes along with the start, but rarely matches its urgency.

Pair dynamics:

Cardinal + Fixed: fixed ends up feeling ignored; cardinal, held back.

Cardinal + Mutable: agile on the surface, fragile in prolonged crises.

Fixed + Mutable: the most asymmetrical. y2="14"></line>

There is an ancient and remarkably precise idea preserved within Vedic astrology: the Moon is Manas, intelligence. Not logical or conceptual intelligence, but the primordial intelligence that constructs, moment by moment, the world as we experience it. This intelligence is not optional. It is the way Being (the Sun) enters human reality and becomes intelligible to itself.

From this perspective, the Moon is not merely “emotions” in the sentimental or reactive sense so often repeated. It is something far more radical: the primary subjective structure. It is the lens through which we interpret reality long before we possess the tools to contextualize it. And that lens is formed in childhood, when consciousness still cannot distinguish between facts and personal meaning. Everything is absolute. Everything is survival. Everything becomes: “this is how the world works.”

A child does not reason like an adult. A child does not say, “my parents have their own limitations.” Instead, with relentless instinctive intelligence, the child concludes:

“There is something in me causing this.”
“This is how love works.”
“This is how survival works.”

And those early conclusions crystallize. They become automatic perceptual software. Over time, they cease to appear as interpretation and begin to feel like objective reality itself. Much of human suffering resides precisely there: we confuse our lunar programming with reality itself.

This is why conversations about “growing up,” “outgrowing childishness,” or “transcending the Moon” often create more weight than relief. Especially for those already searching for understanding, such demands become another form of guilt — as though it were possible to erase the very subjectivity through which Being learned how to exist. The Moon is not a flaw to correct. It is the inevitable mechanism through which human consciousness organizes itself within the world.

The Sun and the Moon: Core and Lens

Within the natal chart understood as a living totality, the Sun is the coherent center of Being. It is the singular light, the deeper direction, the identity that does not need to justify itself. The Moon, meanwhile, is the lens through which that light is filtered and given concrete form within experience. Without the Moon, there would be no translation possible; the Sun would shine without a world to shine into. Through the Moon, that radiance becomes personal, instinctive, subjective.

This subjectivity is constructed using the data available during the earliest stage of life: relational needs, experiences of presence or absence, predictability or chaos. There is no error in this. There is cosmic mechanics. The “garbage” within the program is not moral corruption; it is a set of logical conclusions formed before adult context existed.

A child exposed to unpredictability may organize their lunar intelligence around the idea that safety is never truly real.
A child who was not emotionally seen may conclude that their needs are excessive.
A child forced to constantly anticipate others may learn to disappear before perceiving themselves.

None of these structures arise because the child is “immature.” They arise because this is how the intelligence that constructs subjectivity functions.

The Moon by Sign and House: Description and Doorway

What is extraordinary about astrology is that the same placement that describes the mechanism also offers the pathway toward making it visible and reorganizing it.

The Moon does not point toward what is wrong with you. It reveals how your experience of being alive became organized. And once made visible, it ceases to be confused with absolute reality. This is where the possibility of forming new inner associations emerges — without denying the old ones.

Brief examples:

Moon in Capricorn: subjective intelligence became organized around measuring self-worth through the ability to endure, sustain, and function. Reorganization does not come through “becoming more emotional,” but through discovering that Being exists even when it is not constantly justifying itself through usefulness.

Moon in Scorpio: subjectivity became organized around perceiving hidden danger and extreme intensity almost everywhere. The path forward is not to deny depth, but to learn to distinguish real threat from lunar memory.

Moon in Libra: subjectivity formed through the constant regulation of relationships in order to preserve harmony. The movement here is not “learning not to need others,” but tolerating the inevitable friction of existing as a separate self.

Moon in Aries: learned that space only exists through assertion or struggle. Reorganization appears through discovering forms of existence that do not permanently depend upon reaction.

Every lunar placement contains its own instinctive intelligence and its own path of refinement. The goal is not to eliminate the mechanism, but to stop being unconscious of it.

Is There a Solution?

Reorganization is possible, although it rarely happens without conscious effort. Something that has spent an entire lifetime turning right will require effort to turn left. And vice versa.

First, I want to make something clear: I deeply believe we are here to live, to experience life, to make mistakes, to refine ourselves if we desire constructive growth (free will), and to continue moving forward. But yes, when something is no longer functioning well and keeps taking us where we do not want to go, then yes — if we truly wish — we can do something about it.

The solution, then, is not to destroy the Moon nor to “mature” against it. From my perspective, what we need is a gradual reorganization of subjectivity: new experiences, new inner associations, and above all, greater awareness of the lens through which we interpret reality.

The difficulty is that the Moon is profoundly personal. There is no universal manual capable of updating it automatically. Each person knows — at least partially — their own inner language. And it is through that language that we filter events, interpret relationships, assign meaning to experience, and construct our reality.

Which is why happiness ultimately becomes something deeply individual. We may intellectually understand how other people function, how other Moons or subjective structures operate… but living inside another human being’s perception is nearly impossible.

And so, inevitably, we arrive at the old and rather unglamorous problem of self-knowledge.

Observing ourselves.
Recognizing patterns.
Understanding what kind of reality we are automatically constructing.
Giving ourselves what we genuinely need in order to feel nourished — emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually — instead of continuing to operate from old conclusions that may no longer reflect the present.

Tragically for our human fantasy of instant solutions: no, there is probably no pill capable of reorganizing decades of lunar intelligence over a single weekend.

The Moon remains Manas. It continues constructing the subjective world. But when we begin to observe it clearly and without guilt, it ceases to be an opaque mechanism directing our lives from the shadows. It becomes a tool. A language. A map. Light within the darkness… unless it’s a New Moon. ;) But that is another story.

In the next paid article, I will explore the Moon in signs and houses in greater depth.

Pluto in Scorpio: the seekers of the subterranean

Read how a seemingly unrelated YouTube video ends up rivers or industrial ports and, without saying a word, just holding their breath, they wait. Suddenly the rope tightens – the magnet has found something. They start pulling slowly, as if waking a very ancient sleeper. And from the black depths comes a bicycle eaten by time, a safe sealed for decades, a military helmet, a bunch of keys no one remembers losing, sometimes a pistol that no longer shoots but still keeps all its rusted threat… or simply a toaster, belly-up, its cord coiled like a dead snake.

At first I didn’t understand why I wanted to watch the next video. And the next one. And the next one… But the more videos I watch, the clearer it becomes that these silent men and women standing on the bank under grey northern-European skies are unknowingly performing a perfect ritual of Pluto in Scorpio.

They are not looking for gold. They are looking for whatever was deliberately (or not) thrown into the water so it would disappear from shame, fear, guilt… or simply because it was no longer useful, because it was ugly, because it got in the way, because one day someone got fed up with seeing it in the kitchen and tossed it into the canal in rage or indifference.

And they do it in waters usually loaded with centuries of urban poisons: heavy metals, oils, chemicals no one wanted to name. They dare to put their hands (and their soul) into the toxic without magical gloves, armed only with a magnet and a quiet decision.

The magnet does not judge. It attracts the metallic, the dense, whatever was magnetised by the force of an extreme emotion. In doing so it reveals the deep law of Pluto in Scorpio: nothing lived with absolute intensity can ever truly be lost; it can only sink, wait, rust, until a greater polarity born from the same core comes back to claim it.

That is why these modern seekers are Plutonian teachers showing us what must be done to unearth what we have forgotten yet still occupies space at the bottom of our abysses. With their rope and neodymium magnet they wordlessly demonstrate what Plutonian transformation requires: the intention to go down into murky, toxic waters and find out what is there.

Sometimes what comes up is frightening: a hermetically sealed box of bullets.
Sometimes it brings joy: a gold coin from a Spanish pirate ship.
Sometimes it is only a toaster.

But always, always, they clean. Whatever is no longer useful goes to the rubbish and they call the council to collect it. And when the magnet unexpectedly brings up a crab, a river crayfish or a fish still breathing in the mud, they look at it for a second, greet it almost with reverence, and gently return it to the water.

That is the most beautiful face of the ritual: in the midst of the toxic and the rotten, they recognise life and let it continue on its way.

This is Pluto in Scorpio teaching what it means to be “Plutonian”.
We all have Pluto, so we can learn from the magnet fishers to cast our magnet into those muddy, turbid waters and see what comes up…

podcast. While introducing her new album "The Life of a Showgirl," she also mentioned her new passion: obsessively making sourdough bread.

The image of Taylor Swift baking bread at home is pure Moon in Cancer: the ritual of nurturing, the home as a sanctuary, the creation of a tangible bond through food and care.

The crucial question is: How does the Sun in Sagittarius (the quest for freedom, expansive truth, and meaning) experience the seemingly domestic, lunar act of baking bread?

The answer is not that Sagittarius "also likes" to bake. It's much deeper. The solar principle transforms the lunar act. It's not "making bread," it's:

The Sagittarian who bakes is not confined; they are mapping a universe of meaning into the dough.

Here is the explanation, framed within the Sun-Moon dynamic:

Within the Sagittarian spirit, the act of baking bread is never a limitation. It is a profoundly Sagittarian expression of their truth.

It's not "making bread"; it's performing an archetypal ritual. Sagittarius seeks connection with ancestral and universal truths. Baking is one of humanity's oldest rituals. She isn't following a recipe; she is embodying a universal narrative of nourishment, transformation (of simple ingredients into sustenance), and community. It is philosophy made tangible.

It's not "staying home"; it's creating the headquarters for her tribe. The home for a Moon in Cancer is the sanctuary. For the Sun in Sagittarius, that sanctuary is the base of operations from which she launches into the world. It is the safe harbor that enables the journey. Baking bread is the ritual that fortifies that harbor, ensuring her tribe (friends, team, loved ones) is nourished, united, and ready to join her on the next creative or life adventure.

It's not a domestic chore; it's an expansion of truth through the senses. Sagittarius seeks truth through experience. Baking is a complete philosophical experience: the truth of the wheat, the truth of the water, the truth of the fermentation time, the truth of the transformative heat. It is a quest for meaning, a way of finding the universal in the deeply personal and tangible.

The bread is the final story. For a born storyteller (Sagittarius), the baked loaf is the perfect ending to a narrative. It is the tangible, edible object that proves the story of care, patience, and love is real. It is truth converted into something that can be shared and that physically nourishes. It is irrefutable proof that her emotional authenticity (Moon in Cancer) has a real, nurturing impact on the world.

The Sun in Sagittarius does not feel caged by baking bread. She feels like the high priestess of a meaningful ritual. She is writing the epic of belonging with flour and water. She is ensuring her tribe is fed for the next journey. She is proving, in the most visceral way possible, that the greatest truth is often found in the simplest, most nurturing acts.

The Moon in Cancer needs to bake to feel secure and express love.
The Sun in Sagittarius needs the baking to be a statement of universal meaning and connection.

Both find their full expression in the same act. That is the integration.

LAST DAYS: LAUNCH OFFER "WILD MOON REPORT"

Until August 31st, you can get the report for €75 (Approximately $87 USD). There are operational modes that generate friction without collapsing the system—like an engine that vibrates but keeps running. The centaur Chiron carries a poisoned arrow that neither kills nor heals: it stays active, generating a constant distortion that defines his mode of existence.

The Centaur That Doesn’t Repair

Myth places Chiron in a specific territory: wounded by a poisoned arrow that allows neither death nor healing. He is neither victim nor healer, but an operator of a dysfunctional function within a larger system. This mythological precision allows for a more literal reading: instead of viewing Chiron as trauma or emotional wound, we can understand it as a point of permanent operational complications in the natal structure.

When we translate this function into astrological language, we find that Chiron marks areas where the system produces interference each time it’s activated. It’s not a flaw to be fixed, but an operational feature: like an engine that hums slightly but runs perfectly, or a phone that always has a bit of static yet transmits the message.

The Mechanics of Friction

Chiron’s pattern operates in three fixed movements: it activates when the function of its house or planet comes into play; it generates a specific distortion that causes discomfort without collapse; and it cannot be corrected, because the distortion is a permanent part of the system. This mechanic works like a thermometer indicating where the structure is fragile—without necessarily suggesting how to reinforce it.

There’s something almost deliberate about Chiron’s discovery as an asteroid in 1977, when Pluto was moving into Libra—as if a cosmic correction to the self-development boom ignited by Pluto in Virgo. The asteroid arrives with a counterintuitive message: some frictions are part of the operational design, not system failures.

lunation phase, which reflects personal characteristics. Our lunar phase is determined by the angle of separation between the Sun and the Moon at the time of our birth.

Are you interested in universal wisdom? Subscribe to my new channel (Universal Wisdom) on YouTube for esoteric dissemination.

The phase of the Moon shows us the relationship between consciousness (the Sun) and instinct (the Moon). As Dane Rudhyar says: the phases of the Moon represent the gradual increase in intellectual perception. In this way, the interaction between the Sun and the Moon shows evolutionary processes that allow us to learn more about our true nature, through periodic cycles.

Although in astrology we give a lot of importance to the New Moon and the Full Moon, our personal lunar calendar is synchronized with the phase of the Moon in which we were born. Our lunation phase suggests particular lessons that our soul has come to go through.

The progressed Moon can also give us information about the phase we are in at the present. The progressed Moon will change signs every two and a half years, more frequently than any other planet. As a result, about every two and a half years, our consciousness take on a different flavor, depending on the phase our Moon is progressing through.

Each cycle of our progressed Moon goes hand in hand with the Saturn return - about 28 1/2 years.

There are 8 lunar phases: New Moon, Crescent Moon, First Quarter, Gibbous Moon, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter Moon and Balsamic Moon.

Depending on the phase we are in, we can know what the individual process we are going through is and in this way, understand our relationship with the present.

The importance of the phase of the Moon in which we were born lies in the fact that it allows us to understand what our subjective reality is and how it differs from that of those born in another phase. Because if we do not take it into account, we live something similar to the story of the Tower of Babel.

Calculate the lunar phase of your natal Moon.

Personality types according to the Natal Lunation Phase
