Dave Grohl's Controversy over Taylor Swift and the Full Moon in Capricorn
Astrology with a little pop'n roll
On June 22nd, we had a Full Moon in Capricorn, which fell in the 12th House of Dave Grohl, the leader of Foo Fighters. On that day, Dave Grohl was on stage at the London Stadium with his band. At the same time, Taylor Swift was at Wembley Stadium on her Eras Tour.
During his concert, Dave Grohl made a comment to his audience. Grohl mentioned Swift’s Eras Tour on stage and joked, "I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift," seemingly referring to the reputation of Swifties for being fiercely defensive of their favorite pop star.
Grohl went on to say, "We like to call our tour the 'Errors Tour.' We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few errors as well. Just a couple."
Grohl paused before playfully concluding, "That’s because we actually play live."
Some mention that Dave Grohl had reasons to be upset because his daughter had posted on Twitter criticizing the use of private jets and the carbon emissions from Taylor Swift's private jet, which led to the Swifties attacking her online. Although it can be understood that he is protecting his daughter, attacking Taylor seems like missing the point.
But... what does that have to do with the quality of Taylor Swift's show?
The 12th House is the house of the unconscious. The Full Moon in this house can cause an outburst of unconscious emotions. In Capricorn, it speaks to tradition, the status quo, and of course, the patriarchy. Additionally, Dave has Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, in the 3rd House, which means he expresses in words what he has in the unconscious. However, Saturn is neither spontaneous nor emotional... unless, of course, it is activated by the Full Moon.
Could it be that Dave Grohl has "vented" hidden emotions within the status quo of the collective unconscious, awakened by the power of a woman who represents the successful feminine expression? Taylor is going to play 8 Wembleys, the dream of every musician.
We will never know. What we do know is that during the Full Moon, emotions are stronger than consciousness.
