The Planets in the 29th Degree
Discovering the Pure and Unpolished Energies of the 29th Degree in the Natal Chart
Much has been said about the intensity, challenges, propensity for change, the sense of urgency, and creativity associated with the degree 29. In this article, I want to approach this topic from a different perspective.
If we consider astrological progressions, which allow us to analyze how planets and points in a natal chart evolve over time, we notice that planets located at degree 29 transition to the next sign in the first few months or within the first year of our birth. In the case of slow or retrograde planets, this change of signs can occur years later or, in some cases, never.
The planets that stand out at degree 29 are what we call personal planets, such as the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars.
With astrological progressions, we see the original expression of the personal planet moving into a new sign. This means that the time we've had to become conscious of the planet's qualities is very short!
This doesn't mean that we don't possess these qualities, but rather, we haven't practiced them enough to develop them consciously over time.
When we see it in this light, we can recognize the feeling of intensity and urgency that those with planets at degree 29 experience. It's as if they are handling an energy that arises from the unconscious! This is how the self-expression of these planets can appear, at least at first glance, a bit clumsy.
However, for the very same reason, we are talking about pure energies that haven't been molded by life's experiences. This is why the expression of these planets retains its originality: people with planets at degree 29 can channel their intensity into creative forms of expression and sometimes find creative and unique solutions to the challenges they face.
This serves as a brief addendum to this article where I delve into degree 29 in astrology.
